Welcome to the Substack page of the Charlemagne Club. Established by a group of young, right-wing friends in Brussels, our think tank promotes pan- and pro-European positions among the right-wing in Europe.
We oppose harmful, anti-European policies that come out of Brussels, but we believe that the unification of the European peoples in a common economic and political space, within the right boundaries, is necessary in the age of emerging multipolarity and Western socio-economic decline.
Our think-tank drives to inspire change within the EU institutions to secure the political, economic, social, and cultural interests of European peoples. We acknowledge the shortcomings of these institutions but believe that they can evolve into tools of advancing patriotic, traditional European interests.
The Charlemagne Club aims to inspire change in the discourse on the right-wing, moving away from criticism of the status quo to create new, positive visions of the European future. In particular, the think-tank aspires to identify how the current institutions could be reformed. The Club aims to achieve this by organizing events, publishing articles, and connecting European patriots in Brussels. We want to have an influence on the powers that be, rather than shout from the side-line.
